I’m Chad Danford. I run EXPAT.

I spent the bulk of my career leading in-house creative and production teams inside the largest health insurer in North Carolina. Real budgets, real timelines, real consequences coupled with high standards, regulated lanes, and very little room for “we’ll fix it in post.”

That’s the origin story. EXPAT isn’t a vibe on a t-shirt. It’s a charter. I’ve lived inside the machine long enough to know how work gets made, approved, and shipped. Now I step outside it to run it cleaner, move faster, and keep the Big Idea intact.

Today, EXPAT is me plus a tight bench of trusted operators across creative, production, post, and motion, scaled to the job. We keep the Big Idea at the center of every choice, stay with the work, and make sure it sticks the landing the way it was meant to.

We know what breaks good work. We know what saves it.
And we know the difference between something that’s “cool” and something that does what it’s supposed to do.

We’re at our best when the stakes are high and the noise is loud, when stakeholders get twitchy and the timeline gets mean. That’s where taste, nerve, and a steady hand matter.
