CUSTOM MOTION DESIGN SYSTEMS
One build. Years of faster motion.
consistent everywhere.
What we built
A comprehensive, brand complaint, modular motion design system. Typography behaviors, transitions, layout motion rules, icon motion, lower thirds, end cards, and reusable components and templates.
All packaged for the real world.
The problem
Motion requests were frequent and repetitive, but treated like one-off work every time. That meant longer timelines, more revision cycles, inconsistent execution, and a bigger reliance on external vendors. OVer time the brand got fuzzier in market because the motion system was made out parts and pieces.
The approach
Identify the repetitive work.
Lock motion rules to the brand.
Build templates + modular components.
Bake in compliance and accessibility by default.
Package it for reuse and iteration: naming, examples, and quick tutorials.
Less rebuild. More assembly.
Faster reviews because the foundational motion choices were already settled.
Consistent motion behavior in market, which compounds brand recognition.
Motion designers who felt less slammed.
EXPAT principle
Build it once. Use it for forever.
Ish.
What changed
Reduced post-production time by ~12% by shifting repeatable motion into reusable components and templates.
Measured outcome
Reduced external vendor spend by keeping more motion work in-house.
Reduced level of effort for internal teams and vendors through standardization and fewer revision loops.
Higher baseline quality because the system enforces consistency.
